First segment of Malir Expressway to open in Oct

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has announced that the first segment of Malir Expressway will be opened to traffic by next month as he directed the Provincial Planning and Development Department to speed up the completion of the major road infrastructure project.

He issued the directives during a project review meeting held at the Chief Minister's House on Friday.

The CM said that the influx of people from across the country seeking jobs and business has exacerbated congestion on major roads. The Sindh govt has decided to construct an alternative route connecting the metropolis to M9.
