Suspect held for sexually assaulting minor girl

A twelve-year-old girl, a resident of Mor Nai Samundri, was allegedly sexually assaulted by a young man on Friday.

Police said the accused, Waqas Masih, lured the victim while she was playing outside her house and subjected her to sexual abuse. Police have registered against the accused.

Meanwhile, authorities discovered two bodies in separate incidents.

The body of an unidentified 24-year-old woman was retrieved from a canal along Nankana Road 5 Palla, within the jurisdiction of Sasdar Jaranwala police station.

Initial investigations suggest she was murdered and dumped by unknown assailants.
