Maryam orders inspection of school buildings

Calls for sealing dilapidated structures

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed the authorities concerned to seal the schools operating in dilapidated and precarious buildings in the province.

During a meeting with members of the provincial assembly at the Muzaffargarh Deputy Commissioner's Office to seek their suggestions for solving public problems, she directed the authorities to check the cleanliness at schools as well.

She said, "I am committed to solving all public problems. It is a fact that we have to be tough to improve things."

The CM said,, "The police should create a sense of relief among the public and fear in criminals. Strict and decisive action should be taken against criminals and terrorists." She also instrumental cited the police to curb crimes against property.

She directed the relevant authorities to ensure construction, repair and maintenance of main roads of Muzaffargarh as per suggestions of the lawmakers.

She expressed her indignation over encroachments and poor cleanliness in the central areas of Muzaffargarh. She ordered immediate launching of a campaign to end encroachments.

"Decisive action should be taken against corrupt elements in the revenue department," she added.

According to a statement, the CM expressed anger over public complaints about land record centres.

She expressed satisfaction over the eradication. of 'no-go areas' in Muzaffargarh.

She said a proposal for the dialysis facility in the local Social Security Hospital would be reviewed."

She enquired from the assembly members about the prices of bread, flour and other food items.

She was briefed about progress made on the CM's initiatives and the law and order situation in the area.
