Friends stab teen to death over refusal to treat after buying new phone
A 16-year-old boy was stabbed in Delhi on Monday after he declined to treat a group of friends following his purchase of a new mobile phone.
During the police investigation, two stab wounds were discovered on the victim's back.
Authorities revealed that the victim and a minor friend were returning from buying the phone when they encountered three other boys near a shop.
The group demanded a celebration for the new phone purchase, but when the victim refused, an argument ensued, leading to the tragic incident.
Upon arriving at the hospital, the police were informed that the 16-year-old boy had died due to excessive blood loss; he was identified as Sachin.
The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law regarding murder and common intention.
Using CCTV footage and local intelligence, officers apprehended three juveniles in connection with the case, and the murder weapon, a dagger was also recovered.
All three suspects are 16 years old, with two currently studying in Class nine and the third in Class eleven.
