Jennifer Lawrence endorses Kamala Harris, highlights importance of reproductive rights

"I'm voting for Kamala Harris because I think she's an amazing candidate, and I know that she will do whatever she can to protect reproductive rights. That's the most important thing, is to not let somebody into the White House who is going to ban abortion."

Lawrence has been vocal about politics and equal rights for women in the past, and has used her platform to raise awareness about important social issues. Her endorsement of Harris is seen as a significant boost for the Democratic candidate, who is facing off against Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

The actress is also producing two documentaries that shine a light on women's rights, including "Bread and Roses" and "Zurawski v Texas." The latter documentary details the high-stakes post-Roe v. Wade legal case in which 20 women sued Texas state because they said its restrictive laws against abortions prevented them from receiving medically necessary procedures.

Lawrence believes that her documentaries can help educate people about the importance of reproductive rights and the impact that restrictive laws can have on women's lives.

"Women are dying," she said. "They're not thinking about their suffering. They're using their suffering to help other people, and it's heroic."

Lawrence's endorsement of Harris is just the latest example of how celebrities are using their platforms to influence the 2024 election. Other celebrities, including Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga, have also spoken out in support of Democratic candidates and causes.
