PIA clarifies cabin pressure warning on Karachi-Dubai flight, assures safe landing

Spokesperson maintains captain followed all relevant standard operating procedures

A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) spokesperson addressed reports regarding a Karachi to Dubai flight gaining traction on social media on Tuesday.

He said that flight PK 213 took off from Karachi Airport and made a normal landing in Dubai. However, he added that there was a low cabin pressure warning indication.

The spokesperson maintained that the captain followed all relevant standard operating procedures. He further informed that while the aircraft was 15 minutes away from the Dubai airport, it reduced its altitude to 10,000 feet and subsequently made a normal landing.

PIA follows strict international flight safety standards and after landing, the aircraft was thoroughly checked and cleared for the next journey, the spokesperson concluded.
