Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1-2 Remastered leaks ahead of official announcement

The long-awaited Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1-2 Remastered has surfaced on the PlayStation Store.

A recent leak has revealed that Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1-2 Remastered is set to be showcased during the upcoming PlayStation State of Play event. The game briefly appeared on the PlayStation Store, indicating a release date of December 10, 2024, in celebration of the franchise's 25th anniversary. Developed by Aspyr, the remastered collection will include Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2, allowing players to experience both titles in their original form or with enhanced graphics.

The leak’s details suggest players will engage in a story centered around revenge after protagonist Raziel rises from the dead following betrayal by his former master, Kain. Players can utilize various abilities as a wraith, including telekinetic attacks and elemental powers, while also shifting between the Spectral and Material Realms to solve puzzles and combat enemies.

While the current PlayStation Store listing mentions only PlayStation platforms, there is speculation that the game will also launch on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, similar to Aspyr's recent remaster of the Tomb Raider series. The excitement around this remaster has been building since a previous leak in July, and fans are eager for a formal announcement.

With the State of Play presentation imminent, many are hopeful for additional information regarding the game’s availability across multiple platforms, as seen with other recent remaster announcements.
