On September 24, 2024, rapper Meek Mill sparked a wave of reactions across social media after offering $100,000 to hire an investigative team to uncover how his name became linked to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing federal case.

Diddy, who is facing charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, has been the subject of intense scrutiny, and Meek's efforts to distance himself from the scandal have taken center stage.

“I wanna hire an investigative team [with] 100k cash to find out every specific detail involving Meek Mill's name to ‘Diddy’ case,” Meek posted on X (formerly Twitter), adding, “Something not right.”

The post immediately went viral, drawing both support and ridicule from internet users.

Fans were quick to point out Meek’s past associations with Diddy. A user responded, “Meek, you're literally your own star witness,” while another fan chimed in, “Bro, it's your antics. It's you! You're the one powering that narrative. Now Cashapp me my 100k.”

Several others mocked the situation, with comments like, “Bro, bouta incriminate himself” and “This is the tweet you send when you’re guilty of everything.”

Other users offered sarcastic takes, joking that they already had the answers Meek was seeking.

“Man, give me the 100k, it doesn’t take an investigator to tell you why this is happening,” one wrote, while another humorously added, “I will take this on, Meek. 50k upfront, another 50k upon deliverables.”

In response to the backlash, Meek doubled down, stating, “The streets know wassup with me, that's not the case… We [are] talking about the business side, somebody powering these bad campaigns with ‘Meek Mill’ again.

I got 100K for a thorough investigation of who's powering and how exactly my name got connected to this.”

Meek’s name was previously mentioned in connection to a lawsuit filed against Diddy, where a "Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj" was referenced, leading to widespread speculation online.
