Selena Gomez recently recalled a strange encounter with rapper P Diddy.

Back in 2016, the Only Murders in the Building star shared how P Diddy, who was her then-boyfriend Justin Bieber’s mentor, mistook her for a valet. She recounted the incident during an interview with GQ, explaining what transpired.

She said, “When P Diddy gave me his valet ticket once, do you know what I mean?” Interviewer Zach Baron was confused, so the Wizards of Waverly Place actress clarified, “Because he thought I was the valet lady!”

The interviewer expressed disbelief, exclaiming, “What?!” Gomez confirmed the story, adding, “Look, I see all of it. I don’t care, I actually laughed hysterically when it happened, but I get it. I know what all of it is.”

Gomez’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, who she dated on and off from 2009 to 2018, spent considerable time with P Diddy—real name Sean Combs—when he was younger and collaborated with the rapper on Diddy’s last hit in September 2023.

This collaboration happened before recent allegations against Diddy surfaced. Reports indicate that Bieber is deeply unsettled by the accusations and is struggling to process them.

“Bieber is so disturbed by the Diddy news and is unwilling to process it or discuss it, so he has shut off. So many people who helped to make him who he is were very close to Diddy and it has completely thrown him,” a source revealed.

The insider also suggested that Justin, who recently welcomed his first child with wife Hailey Bieber, is reconsidering his collaboration with Diddy on his latest track. It’s also been suggested that Bieber took a "long break" from interacting with the rapper.

Diddy was arrested on 16 September in New York City on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, and has been denied bail multiple times. Sean has pleaded not guilty, with his attorney stating, “He’s innocent [...] he’s not afraid, he’s not afraid of the charges.”
