Nida Yasir talks about her Rs1 million wedding costs from two decades ago

Renowned Pakistani showbiz personality and morning show host, Nida Yasir, revealed that only three events were held for her wedding.

Recently, Nida Yasir appeared as a guest on host and actor Faisal Qureshi’s podcast, where she shared details about her wedding expenses.

Nida Yasir mentioned that she has been hosting morning shows for over 15 years and during this time, she has received immense love from her fans.

She added that over this long period, they have also showcased wedding-related content on their morning show because it used to be something the audience enjoyed. However, trends have changed now.

On this note, host Faisal Qureshi asked Nida about the expenses of her own wedding, to which she responded that her wedding was a luxurious affair.

Nida Yasir revealed that there were only three events held for her wedding. On the first day, there was a Milad in the evening and a Mayun ceremony at night, followed by the Mehndi and Baraat ceremonies on subsequent days.

She shared that her wedding took place 22 years ago, and back then, the total cost of the events at her mother's house was 1 million rupees.

Nida further clarified that these expenses only covered the events at her mother's house, as the Walima was hosted by Yasir’s family, and they bore those expenses.

It is worth mentioning that Nida married actor and director Yasir Nawaz in 2002, and the couple has three children.
