We don't apologise, says Gandapur

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced a nationwide protest on Friday and a rally in Mianwali two days later, warning that the movement launched by his PTI would not stop now.

In a video message a day after the chief minister failed to reach the party's much-hyped public rally in Lahore, Gandapur stated that he would not apologise for anything, questioning, "Who should I apologise to and why?" He added that apologies should come from those who laid hands on Imran Khan.

The chief minister accused the Punjab government of spreading false narratives about access to Saturday's PTI rally. He declared that the nation was neither enslaved nor would it tolerate any subjugation. He asked the people to get ready, saying that their movement wound not stop.

"I am thankful to the people of Lahore for reaching the meeting venue despite obstacles. I am also grateful to the people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa who reached the rally this time on the call of Imran Khan," the K-P chief minister said.

He said that the Punjab government was pushing a false narrative that the roads were open on Saturday. He added that when they reached Kalu Shah Kaku, the roads were blocked with containers and fenced up to two kilometres.

Gandapur announced that the party would hold a public rally in Mianwali on Sunday. "After that, we will hold rallies in Rawalpindi and other cities. "The movement is not going to stop now, the people are with us. People should be ready for the movement," he said.

The CM stated that the federal and the Punjab governments demand apology of him over his speech at a public rally in Islamabad earlier this month. "To whom and why should I apologise? Those should apologise who lad hands on Imran Khan," he said. "File as many cases as you want, we did not apologise. We are still being oppressed," he said.
