Abduction Case: Man could not be traced after 25 days

Mehmood had gone to deposit 18 carats of gold ornaments with one of his friends on August 16 and did not return.

RAWALPINDI:
After 25 days of his abduction, Sajid Mehmood could still not be recovered by the police. However, one suspect has been arrested. Mehmood, a resident of village Bungial Soan, had gone to deposit 18 carats of gold ornaments with one of his friends on August 16 and did not return. Later, his wife, Shabnum Nazli, lodged a report with the Rawat police against three persons, who she suspected of being behind the crime. Although the police have arrested one of the suspects, Waid Hussain, who was with Sajid when he disappeared, the other two are still at large. Nazli said that the investigation officer was forcing her to ‘patch up’ by taking Rs100,000 to rescind the FIR.
