Protest erupts in North Nazimabad against K-Electric over power outages

About 50 protesters threw stones and ignited three motorcycles, causing significant damage

Residents of North Nazimabad, frustrated by prolonged power outages, marched towards the K-Electric office on Sunday, leading to a chaotic protest. Demonstrators surrounded the office and set fire to motorcycles parked outside.

According to Express News, 40 to 50 youngsters participated in the protest, throwing stones at the K-Electric office. They ignited three motorcycles, causing significant damage.

SSP Central Zeeshan Siddiqui noted that a large number of children and teenagers were involved in the unrest, which escalated when one motorcycle was set ablaze.

Upon receiving reports of the disturbance, a heavy police presence was deployed to the scene, successfully dispersing the protesters. The situation is now reported to be under control.
