ISLAMABAD:

Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Omer Ayub Khan has said if the constitutional amendment package had passed in parliament, martial law would have been imposed in the country.

Speaking in the parliament, he said JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman has rejected outright the draft of the bill, adding PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar also have no inkling about the draft.

He said the role of the government representatives and their allies was negative in the special committee. "They all are puppets," said Ayub.
