Melania Trump defends nude modeling work in new video

Melania Trump defended her nude modeling work, saying it celebrates the human form and artistic self-expression.

Former First Lady Melania Trump took to social media on Wednesday to defend her past nude modeling work, which had resurfaced during her husband’s 2016 presidential campaign. In a video posted on X, Trump questioned the media’s scrutiny of her career, stating, "Why do I stand proudly behind my nude modeling work? The more pressing question is: Why has the media chosen to scrutinize my celebration of the human form in a fashion photo shoot?"

Trump further emphasized the artistic value of her work, comparing it to historical representations of the human body. "Are we no longer able to appreciate the beauty of the human body?" she asked, adding that "master artists have revered the human shape, evoking profound emotions and admiration."

Trump’s history of nude modeling was first highlighted in 2016 when the New York Post published several photos taken in 1995 for a now-defunct French men’s magazine. The photographs resurfaced during her husband’s campaign, drawing media attention. At the time, Donald Trump defended the images, telling the New York Post that "pictures like this are very fashionable and common" in Europe.

In her recent video, Melania Trump continued to champion her work, stating, "We should honor our bodies and embrace the timeless tradition of using art as a powerful means of self-expression."
