Iron Maiden announces UK and Europe tour dates for 2025 to celebrate 50 years as a band
Iron Maiden has announced a major UK and Europe tour for 2025, marking the band’s 50th anniversary. The Run For Your Lives tour will focus on material from the band’s first nine albums, promising a celebration of their early career. Kicking off in Budapest on May 27, 2025, the tour will visit cities across Europe, including London, Paris, and Madrid, before concluding in Warsaw, Poland, in August.
Bassist Steve Harris expressed his excitement about the upcoming tour, particularly performing at the London Stadium, home of his favorite football team, West Ham United. "We’re all very excited to be playing at the London Stadium... It’s going to be a real celebration for all of us," Harris said in a statement. He added, "To be able to bring this very special show to all our fans across the UK and Ireland is going to be a great way to mark 50 years of Iron Maiden."
Lead vocalist Bruce Dickinson echoed Harris’s enthusiasm, stating, "Next year is a very special one for Iron Maiden and we’re going to be giving our fans a once-in-a-lifetime live experience." Dickinson encouraged fans who have yet to see the band live, saying, "If you’ve never seen us before, now’s your chance to find out what you’ve been missing."
The band’s longtime manager, Rod Smallwood, emphasized the significance of the tour, highlighting its focus on classic tracks from albums like Iron Maiden and Fear of the Dark. "We are pulling out all the stops for this tour," Smallwood said, adding that the band is preparing "an even more spectacular and elaborate new show."
The tour will feature support from Halestorm, Avatar, and The Raven Age in select cities. Tickets go on sale next week.
