YouTube Studio now helps creators brainstorm video ideas, thumbnails, and comment replies
At its Made On YouTube event, YouTube announced new AI-powered features aimed at streamlining the content creation process.
The platform is rolling out AI-driven tools that help creators brainstorm video ideas, create custom thumbnails, and quickly respond to viewer comments.
The AI-powered brainstorming tool, tested in beta earlier this year, is now available to all creators. According to a report by TechCrunch, Ebi Atawodi, YouTube Studio’s director of product management, explained that the feature suggests video ideas based on comments and trending topics.
“When you go into the Inspiration Tab now... it’s here are 10 ideas to get you started,” said Atawodi.
In addition, YouTube plans to introduce AI-generated thumbnails later this year. Creators will be able to select from AI-suggested images or input prompts for specific styles like "surreal and unexpected."
The company is also set to test AI-assisted comment reply suggestions, allowing creators to quickly engage with their audiences.
Similar to Gmail’s suggested replies, the feature provides responses tailored to a creator’s style, with room for personalization. “You’re not starting with that blank canvas,” Atawodi said. The comment reply feature is expected to roll out broadly next year.
With these new tools, YouTube aims to simplify the creative process and boost engagement, encouraging creators to stay within its ecosystem instead of turning to external platforms for AI assistance.
