Pakistani social entrepreneur Zain Ashraf Mughal wins Global Islamic Finance Award 2024

Zain recognised for his efforts in sending 6,000 children to school, creating entrepreneurs out of 3,000 people

Pakistani social entrepreneur Zain Ashraf Mughal has earned yet another accolade for the country by winning the prestigious Global Islamic Finance Award (GIFA) 2024.

Mughal, who has previously received the Commonwealth Award and was ranked in Forbes' 30 Under 30, was honoured with this award during a ceremony held in the Maldives.

Zain Ashraf was recognized for his efforts in sending 6,000 children to school and creating entrepreneurs out of 3,000 individuals, including members of the transgender community and minorities, through his philanthropic initiative, Seed Out.

Mughal, who has also won the ISDB Award, continues to be a leading figure in the social entrepreneurship space, consistently ranked among the top social entrepreneurs in Pakistan.

It is noteworthy that the GIFA Award was previously presented to Pakistan’s President in 2020, along with other distinguished figures such as the President of Senegal, the President of Kazakhstan, and the Vice Prime Minister of Indonesia.
