Actor Adam Brody expressed frustration with celebrities criticizing "wokeness" during his appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast, hosted by Dax Shepard and Monica Padman. Brody, known for his roles in The O.C. and the upcoming series Nobody Wants This, voiced his opinion on those who focus on cancel culture. "If that's your North Star, as a comedian, as an artist, as a political commentator, then you've f---ing lost the plot. More good has been done than bad. It's tangible to me," Brody said.

He acknowledged that while there are excesses in any large movement, he finds the focus on anti-wokeism misplaced. Brody stated that the current atmosphere on set is "so different and so much more positive," compared to five or ten years ago. He added, "There are so much bigger fish to fry," and noted he finds it suspect when comedians center their content on these issues.

Brody also clarified that he supports differing opinions as long as there is agreement on fundamental issues like climate change, saying, "We can have a talk as long as we're agreeing that global warming is real and we're going to do something about it." His remarks come as he promotes his new Netflix series Nobody Wants This, which premieres on September 26.
