Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor has hinted at a third film in her popular horror comedy series, "Stree."
The hint came through her Instagram, where she shared behind-the-scenes photos from "Stree 2."
The sequel to the 2018 hit "Stree," starring Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has been a big success, earning over INR 527.7 crores in India. "Stree 2," directed by Amar Kaushik, continues the story of Chanderi town haunted by the Sarkata Bhoot and features a returning cast including Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana, with special appearances from Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, and Tamannaah Bhatia.
In her Instagram post, Shraddha wrote, “50% Pookie 50% Maaru kya ???” and responded to a fan’s question about her character with, “pakka bataungi! Stree 3 mein.”
This suggests that a "Stree 3" is in the works.
The original "Stree" follows a ghost story in Chanderi, blending horror with humour as the town seeks help from Stree to defeat the ghost.
Earlier this month, director Amar Kaushik stated that while "Stree 3" is planned, it will take at least three more years to complete. If "Stree 3" lives up to the success of "Stree 2," it is set to be another major hit.
