Are Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal reuniting for Hera Pheri 3?

Fans of the iconic Hera Pheri franchise are eagerly awaiting updates on the much-talked-about Hera Pheri 3.

Director Raaj Shaandilyaa, known for Dream Girl 2, recently addressed speculation about the reunion of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal for the third instalment of the comedy classic.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Raaj revealed that while he had discussions with Akshay Kumar regarding Hera Pheri 3, the initial plot didn’t work out, leading him to shift his focus to Dream Girl 2.

However, Raaj confirmed that he is developing a new script for Akshay, set in the chaotic world of Hera Pheri.

“The trio of Akshay sir, Paresh sir, and Anna (Suniel Shetty) warrants a great script, and I have developed one for them. It will work out soon,” he shared, adding that the project is in the same vein as the beloved franchise.

The Hera Pheri series, which began as a remake of the 1989 Malayalam film Ramji Rao Speaking, gained cult status over the years, despite receiving mixed reviews upon its release.

Following the success of the original, Phir Hera Pheri was released six years later and became a major box office hit, solidifying its place as one of Bollywood’s most beloved comedy franchises.

Fans are now eagerly awaiting more news on whether Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh will return to the screen together in Hera Pheri 3.
