The cast of Schitt’s Creek reunited at the 2024 Emmy Awards, creating excitement among fans about a potential reboot.

The cast of Schitt’s Creek reunited at the 2024 Emmy Awards, sparking excitement among fans. Dan Levy and Eugene Levy, who co-starred as David and Johnny Rose, hosted the awards, marking their first on-screen reunion since the series ended in 2020. The emotional moment escalated when their co-star Annie Murphy, who played Alexis Rose, joined them on stage for a humorous exchange. Finally, Catherine O’Hara, who portrayed the iconic Moira Rose, completed the reunion when she presented the award for outstanding comedy. Fans expressed their excitement on social media, with one person writing on X, “CRYING AT THIS SCHITT’S CREEK REUNION I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.”

The possibility of a Schitt’s Creek reboot or film adaptation remains open. Executive producer Andrew Barnsley told The Messenger in 2023 that the idea is “something Dan and Eugene are considering all the time," although he also expressed concern about "tarnishing the legacy" of the original show. Dan Levy, meanwhile, mentioned in a 2023 interview with E! News that while he appreciates the demand for more content, "it has to beat what we've done, and that's a tough thing to do."

Schitt’s Creek aired for six seasons from 2015 to 2020 and remains a beloved series for its wit, warmth, and endearing characters.
