BADIN:

A quiet revolution is unfolding in Union Council Serani, where villagers have boldly equated education with immunisation. Their steadfast refusal to vaccinate without teachers speaks to the community's deep-seated desire for empowerment through learning.

Residents of several villages in Union Council Serani refused to cooperate with the polio campaign. After the news circulated on the media, Badin Deputy Commissioner Yasir Bhatti intervened and assured of resolving the issue.

He said that fulfilling the demand, six teachers were appointed in the schools of different villages of Sirani.

He said that medical camps have been set up in Ilyas Malah village, Makhan village, Haroon Samijo village, Haji Malah village, Golu Mandharo and Sheikh Kirio village. Apart from this, there is also a NADRA mobile vehicle in UC Sirani. He further said that parents of 1,945 children refused to administer polio drops.
