Govt to ensure full security for Milad celebrations

A Cabinet Committee on Law and Order meeting, chaired by Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique, reviewed security arrangements for Eid Miladul Nabi.
Finance Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rahman and Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan were also in attendance.
Punjab Home Secretary Noorul Amin Mengal and IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar briefed the committee on peace and security preparations.
Khawaja Salman Rafique assured that comprehensive security measures are in place across the province, with participants of Milad processions and gatherings to be provided drinks and sweets.
He emphasised that no new practices would be allowed during the peaceful observance of the religious event.
