Relief fund: Government employees to donate salaries
Sindh govt employees to contribute salary to newly created Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for Rain-Affected People.
KARACHI:
Sindh government employees, including district staff, will be contributing a portion of their salary to the newly created Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for Rain-Affected People.
Government employees of grade 16 and above will contribute one day’s salary and all provincial ministers and advisers will give one month’s salary. All Sindh MPAs will donate a week’s salary.
While announcing this fund, the chief minister expressed his displeasure with the performance of the livestock department. While estimates are only initial, people across the rain-hit areas have reported heavy losses of livestock. The CM said that vaccination and treatment work must be started in these areas to save the animals that have survived.
