CM calls for value-added pink salt industry

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said on Saturday that pink salt is like a treasure trove for Pakistan.

She was chairing a meeting to review proposals on getting maximum revenue from the export of pink salt.

The chief minister directed the authorities concerned to prepare a plan for setting up a value-added industry for pink salt.

She said the export of raw pink salt should be banned.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz sought a comprehensive plan for improvement in the export of pink salt.
