Hospital staff booked for abuse

A case has been registered against over 30 employees of Chaklala Cantonment Medical Centre for torturing a female polio worker and stealing vaccines from the health centre.

According to the police, the case was registered on the complaint of polio worker, Khadija Bibi.

Khadija stated that she administers polio vaccine on behalf of the Punjab Health Department. On the day of the incident, she came back to the medical centre from field duty, where a room had been officially handed over to her. When she reached the room, she saw that the locks of that room were broken. She reported that around 30 employees including Nusrat and Waqar of CCB were present outside the room, while children's polio vaccine, immunisation vaccine and Khadija's bag containing Rs15,000 and were all missing.

She went into the room to investigate the situation, where she encountered the miscreants who slapped her hard enough that she fell to the ground.
