Actor Imran Khan to make comeback with Aamir Khan-produced Netflix film

Imran was last seen in 2015 alongside Kangana Ranaut, and took a break from acting to focus on personal matters

Bollywood actor Imran Khan, who has been absent from the silver screen for several years, is set to return with a romantic comedy for Netflix, according to recent reports.

The project will reportedly be produced by none other than his uncle, veteran actor Aamir Khan, under his production banner, Aamir Khan Productions.

Imran, who was last seen in the 2015 film Katti Batti alongside Kangana Ranaut, took a break from acting to focus on personal matters and mental health challenges.

Speaking about his hiatus in a recent interview with India Today Digital, Imran shared his journey back into filmmaking, admitting that his comeback has been a work in progress.

“I don’t have a clear answer to that. It’s not for lack of trying,” Imran said when asked about his future projects.

“I’m having conversations with writers, directors, and producers, trying to find something that really sparks.”

While details about the Netflix project remain secret, the collaboration between the two Khans has stirred excitement among fans and the Bollywood industry.

Imran also hinted at working on two other stories that have resonated with him, although they are still in the early stages of development.

With the backing of Aamir Khan, known for his successful productions, Imran's return is anticipated to significantly impact the industry.

The exact release date and further details of the Netflix film have yet to be disclosed.
