SA women's team arrives for T20s

All three matches will be played at Multan Cricket Stadium between September 16-20

MULTAN:

South Africa women's cricket team, led by captain Laura Wolvaardt, landed at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore on Friday morning to play three T20s matches against Pakistan women's team.

All the three matches will be played at the Multan Cricket Stadium between September 16-20.

The series is part of the preparations for the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 which will be held in the UAE between Oct 3.

The first and second T20I on 16 and 18 September, respectively, will start at 7pm while the third T20I on 20 September will begin at 10am.

Following the T20I series, both teams will head to the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 in the UAE. South Africa will fly from Lahore to Dubai on September 21 whereas Pakistan will depart for the UAE from Lahore on 23 September.

Pakistan and South Africa women teams are scheduled to train at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Saturday from 2.00pm.

The 'Whatever It Takes' campaign comprises of a series of films featuring a trio of world-class cricketers – India captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, Sri Lanka captain, Chamari Athapaththu, and India's Shafali Verma – each renowned for their talent and commitment to the game.

Through powerful visuals and inspiring narratives, the campaign captures the essence of their journeys, revealing the sacrifices made, the challenges overcome, and the self-belief that drives them towards greatness.

From gruelling training sessions to intensive competition on the field, 'Whatever It Takes' embodies the sacrifices that cricketers make in their pursuit of being crowned world champions. It underscores the understanding that success at the highest level is not merely a product of talent, but the result of dedication, perseverance, and an individual's determination to break boundaries.
