Woman claims Dave Grohl used ‘future ex-wife’ pickup line on her decade into his marriage
A woman named Alix has come forward with claims that Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl used the pickup line “You should be my future ex-wife” on her during a night out in New York City in 2013. The revelation comes shortly after Grohl, 55, admitted on Instagram that he had recently fathered a child outside of his marriage to longtime wife Jordyn Blum. Grohl first shared his use of the line in a 2007 interview with Q Magazine, explaining that he had met Blum in 2001 by telling her she was his “future ex-wife.”
Alix told Page Six that she encountered Grohl at a bar in the East Village after a friend's event and that Grohl approached her after she jokingly asked for his ID. He allegedly used the same pickup line he had used on Blum. Although she was “grossed out” by the comment, she and Grohl hung out at the bar, but nothing further happened, she claims.
On Tuesday, Grohl acknowledged the birth of his child, stating, “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her... I am doing everything I can to regain their [his family's] trust and earn their forgiveness.” Reps for Grohl have not commented on Alix’s claims.
