The ceremony, hosted by Megan Thee Stallion, was a significant one for the three artists. Carpenter won Song of the Year for her hit "Espresso," and Swift took home seven awards, tying her with Beyoncé for the most VMAs.
Swift's awards included Video of the Year and Best Collaboration for "Fortnight," which she shared with Post Malone. Swift praised Malone during her acceptance speech for Best Collaboration, highlighting his talent and humility.
Swift also acknowledged her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, during her acceptance for Video of the Year, attributing much of the project's success to his support. Fans also witnessed the warm reunion between Swift and Carpenter, who had toured together.
Despite concerns over Carpenter’s photoshoot for Skims, Swift and Carpenter’s bond remains strong. Swift later endorsed Carpenter’s new album, "Short n’ Sweet," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
