'I don’t think I need Botox': Kareena Kapoor rejects need for beauty surgeries to land roles

44-year-old actress says remains confident in her talent and noted that beauty isn't tied to age

Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor, known as "Bebo," has confidently stated that she doesn’t feel the need for Botox or cosmetic surgery, even as she grows older.

In a recent interview, she said, “I spend quality time with my kids and husband, cook for them, and often work out together because I enjoy it.”

The actress emphasised that she has maintained her physical and mental fitness at this stage of her life by taking good care of herself.

“For everyone, beauty is important, but it is not tied to youth or age,” Kareena remarked.

“You have to enjoy every stage of your life because no one stays young forever,” she added.

The 44-year-old actress further added, “Even at this age, I don’t think I need Botox or any cosmetic surgery. My husband loves me just the way I am.”

Kareena Kapoor noted that she continues to receive film offers based on her talent and abilities, not her looks.

"I choose roles that fit my age because I want my fans to see me as I am," she said, reflecting her commitment to authentic portrayals on screen.

Kareena Kapoor is not only staying true to her words but also preparing for her next major project, Hansal Mehta's The Buckingham Murders.

In this upcoming film, she takes on the role of detective Jasmeet Bamra, or Jass, as she delves into a captivating murder mystery.

The trailer, which she recently shared on social media, hints at an intriguing plot and has already received acclaim at the BFI London Film Festival 2023 and the Mumbai Film Festival 2023.

Kareena enthusiastically announced, "Trailer out now. The Buckingham Murders hits cinemas on September 13."

The Buckingham Murders, which is the working title of the film, will also see Kareena Kapoor making her debut as a producer.

“I never imagined I would become a producer. However, when I learned about this project and realised it was something quite unique compared to typical Hindi films, I thought it would be a refreshing and exciting change,” she remarked.
