Seventeen-year-old influencer Lil Tay has claimed to be diagnosed with a life-threatening heart tumor, according to a recent post on her Instagram. On September 12, 2024, a video was shared on her account showing an ultrasound image of her heart, with the narrator pointing out a “bubble” inside. The post’s caption read, “Tay has been diagnosed with a life-threatening heart tumor. We ask kindly for everyone’s love and prayers.”
This announcement followed cryptic messages on her Instagram and X accounts, starting on September 11, which hinted at "devastating news." A photo from a hospital, directing patients to the pediatric ICU, was also shared in a private chat, further alarming fans.
Some followers remain doubtful of the news, referencing a past incident in 2023 when her account was hacked, falsely claiming that both she and her brother had died. Lil Tay later regained control of her account and dismissed the rumors, blaming her father for the hoax.

Due to this previous controversy, many commenters have expressed skepticism.
