Spotify launches 'Countdown to' Interview Series featuring artists ahead of album releases

Spotify is set to launch a brand-new video interview series called Countdown To, giving fans an inside look at upcoming album releases. The series will feature artists discussing their latest projects in conversation with fellow musicians, collaborators, or close friends.

The first episode will debut this Friday at midnight ET (9 p.m. PT on Thursday), showcasing a special discussion between country-rap star Jelly Roll and MGK (Machine Gun Kelly). The duo will talk about Jelly Roll's highly anticipated album Beautifully Broken, set for release on October 11. Jelly Roll, a Grammy-nominated artist known for his genre-blending sound, has previously worked with MGK on the track "Lonely Road," making their conversation even more anticipated by fans.

Through Countdown To, Spotify aims to offer deeper insights into the inspiration and creative process behind each featured album, allowing audiences to engage with their favorite artists on a more personal level before the music officially drops. According to Mesfin Fekadu, a Hollywood reporter.
