Linda Ronstadt slams Trump rally at her music hall, endorses Kamala Harris in fiery statement

Linda Ronstadt has voiced her support for Kamala Harris while condemning Donald Trump’s upcoming rally at Tucson’s Linda Ronstadt Music Hall. The legendary singer, known for her Mexican-American roots in the city, took to Instagram to express her outrage over Trump’s appearance in her hometown.

“Donald Trump is holding a rally on Thursday in a rented hall in my hometown, Tucson. I would prefer to ignore that sad fact. But since the building has my name on it, I need to say something,” she began.

Ronstadt denounced Trump’s “toxic politics,” highlighting his history of “hatred of women, immigrants, and people of color.” She also addressed the pain caused by his administration’s family separation policy at the U.S.-Mexico border. “Family separation made thousands of little children… It remains a humanitarian catastrophe that Physicians for Human Rights said met the criteria for torture,” she wrote.

Taking aim at Trump’s initial campaign rhetoric, Ronstadt said, “Trump first ran for president warning about rapists coming in from Mexico. I’m worried about keeping the rapist out of the White House.”

Ronstadt also responded to Ohio Senator J.D. Vance’s controversial remarks about “childless cat ladies” running the country. As a single mother who adopted two children, she humorously quipped, “Am I half a childless cat lady because I’m unmarried and didn’t give birth to my kids?”

She proudly declared her intent to vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the upcoming election, standing in solidarity with other high-profile figures like Taylor Swift, who also identified as a “Childless Cat Lady” after the Harris-Trump debate.

Ronstadt’s message was a powerful rejection of Trump’s values and a rallying cry for voters to stand against his policies in November.
