Pakistan's fast bowler Mohammad Abbas has achieved the milestone of 700 first-class wickets.

Abbas reached this landmark in a County Championship match when he dismissed Kent's Jack Leaning as his 700th wicket.

At 34, Abbas is now the 14th Pakistani cricketer to reach this achievement. Renowned for his precise pace, the right-arm pacer has also excelled in international Test cricket, taking 90 wickets in 25 matches.

Abbas's record includes standout performances such as 21 wickets in five matches against the West Indies, 17 wickets in three matches against Australia with a best figure of 10/95, and 15 wickets in five matches against England.

The last Test match Mohammad Abbas played for Pakistan was against the West Indies in 2021.

Despite delivering crucial performances in County and domestic cricket since then, he has yet to find his way back into the national team.
