On Friday, which also marked Playboi Carti's 29th birthday, the Atlanta rapper unveiled a new track titled "ALL RED" ahead of his highly anticipated third studio album, I AM MUSIC, which is set to release "soon."

Shortly before the release, Carti’s alternative Instagram account, @opium_00pium, was updated with a teaser post about the upcoming music. The caption read: "TONIGHT ? ALL RED ? ?"

Prior to this, Carti also launched new merchandise, including boxsets, available for pre-order to keep fans excited while awaiting the release of his long-anticipated album.

The boxsets feature Playboi Carti-branded hoodies, a t-shirt, and a hat. According to the website, these boxsets are scheduled to ship on April 18, 2025. A digital version of the album is also available for pre-order, with the note that the "release digital album will be delivered via email."

The description further states: "Digital album will be available near the release date, no later than six months from April 18th, 2025."

On Thursday, September 12, Carti nearly caused a stir among fans when his social media accounts were updated with a post featuring Blackhaine shouting: "'New Carti announcement tonight!'"

The announcement comes as fans eagerly await Carti's third studio album, tentatively titled I Am Music. The "Type Shit" rapper hinted at the project — following 2020's Whole Lotta Red — during his performance at the Splash! Music Festival in Chemnitz, Germany. After performing his Travis Scott collaboration, "FE!N," Carti assured his fans that his third album was in the works.

“I promise you the album is coming,” he told the crowd. “So it’s only right that I come here tonight and give you a world premiere.”

He then performed two new tracks, "All Red" and "G-Wagon."

Although an official release date for I Am Music has yet to be confirmed, Billboard reports it is expected to drop by the end of the year.
