PESHAWAR:

Local councilors, with the help of protesters, took over PESCO's Dela Zak Grid Station. They assaulted the PESCO staff, forced them out of the grid, and operated the feeders as they pleased.

The local councilors allegedly involved in the grid station takeover reportedly included Nizam, Iftikhar, Waseem, Kaleem, Sajid, and Sadaqat, all of whom were from the areas which housed the Gulozai and Mohammadzai feeders. These are classified as high-loss feeders due to excessive line losses. As a result, the duration of load management in these areas is longer. The local councilors, along with people from their area, stormed the Dela Zak Grid Station, assaulted the staff, threatened to kill them, verbally abused them, confiscated their mobile phones, and forced them out of the grid station, effectively taking control.
