SAU launches plantation campaign

HYDERABAD:

The Sindh Agriculture University (SAU), Tandojam, has launched an ambitious campaign to plant 10 million saplings in collaboration with government departments, farmers and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

The SAU's Vice Chancellor Dr Fateh Marri informed at a seminar on Thursday that the trees will be planted in 1,100 union councils in Sindh. He added that as many as 50,000 schools, 300 colleges, 300 technical institutes and more than 70 universities will be covered.
