The family of iconic performer Fatman Scoop has announced a special celebration of life event in his honor, set to take place at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem.

In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, the Freeman family invited fans and loved ones to join them, writing, "Please join the Freeman family in the celebration of Isaac 'Fatman Scoop' Freeman at the Apollo this Thursday," along with a flyer for the event.

Fans took to the comments section to express their love and admiration for the late artist.

One fan wrote, "Gonna miss you my guy. But your music and your voice will live on for many years!! Thank you so much for blessing us and being true and humble," while another added, "So wish I could be there!! I’ll make some noise all the way from London with you all."

Fatman Scoop tragically passed away last month at 53 years old after collapsing onstage during a concert in Connecticut.

According to reports, he was seen receiving chest compressions behind the DJ booth as other performers led the audience in prayer.

His tour manager, Birch “Pure Cold” Michael, confirmed the devastating news the following day, posting on Instagram, "I am honestly lost for words. You took me all over the world and had me performing alongside you on some of the biggest and greatest stages on this planet, the things you taught me have truly made me the man I am today. Thank you so much, I love you x."

The Freeman family also shared a moving tribute, stating, "FatMan Scoop was not just a world-class performer, he was a father, brother, uncle, and a friend. He was the laughter in our lives, a constant source of support, unwavering strength, and courage… FatMan Scoop’s legacy is of love and brightness, it will reside in our hearts and memories forever."
