Margot Robbie praised for parenting potential as she prepares for motherhood
Margot Robbie, known for her versatile acting and production skills, is now preparing for a new role: motherhood. The Barbie star, who is expecting her first child with husband Tom Ackerley, has received glowing praise from colleagues and friends who have seen her in action both on and off the film set.
Writer-director Megan Park, who worked with Robbie and Ackerley on their latest project, My Old Ass, believes the couple will make excellent parents. “They’re going to be the best parents ever,” Park told E! News at the Los Angeles premiere of the film. She described the couple as not only great partners in life but also talented producers who have mastered the art of balancing creative freedom with hands-on guidance. “They’ve been the most incredible producers,” she said, highlighting how supportive they were throughout the production process.
Robbie, who co-founded LuckyChap Entertainment with Ackerley, has been heavily involved in film production while preparing for the arrival of their baby. The pair, who married in 2016, has a reputation for creating a close-knit and collaborative environment on set. Park also shared how much fun it was working with them, recounting lighthearted moments like riding boats together while filming in Ontario, Canada.
Maisy Stella, one of Robbie’s co-stars in My Old Ass, also sang the actress’s praises, describing her as thoughtful, kind, and exceptionally talented. “She’s an actual genius,” Stella said, recalling how down-to-earth Robbie was when she visited the set, wearing casual clothes and interacting effortlessly with the cast and crew.
Robbie first revealed her pregnancy during a vacation in Lake Como, Italy, in July 2024. Since then, she has made several public appearances, proudly displaying her baby bump and radiating the confidence that has made her a beloved figure both in Hollywood and beyond.
As Robbie prepares to step into the next chapter of her life, her friends and colleagues have no doubt that she will excel as a mother, just as she has in her many other roles.
