Taylor Swift has publicly endorsed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election, expressing her admiration for Harris as a "steady-handed, gifted leader."

In a Instagram, Swift encouraged her followers to research the candidates and make informed voting decisions, while also cautioning about misinformation.

She revealed that an AI-generated video falsely claiming her endorsement of Donald Trump had circulated, sparking concerns about the dangers of AI in spreading false information.

Swift addressed this by emphasizing the importance of transparency, stating, “The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.” She highlighted Harris's commitment to issues like LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive freedom, and equality. In her endorsement, she praised Tim Walz for his decades of work supporting LGBTQ+ rights and women’s rights, saying she believes both candidates will bring calm leadership to the country.

Swift, a long-time advocate for social justice issues, also urged first-time voters to register and vote early, adding resources to help people find registration and voting information. “I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice,” she stated, encouraging her audience to do the same.

The endorsement follows Swift's increased political involvement since 2018, marking a clear continuation of her vocal support for Democratic candidates in recent elections.
