We should take lessons from Mahira: Irfani
Barring Firdous Jamal, who recently went on record to note how overrated she is, A-lister Mahira Khan has no shortage of fans - and none more so than actor and model Emaad Irfani. In Emaad's eyes, the simple respect and humility exuded by the Verna star on set carves her apart from her peers, so much so that others could do well by taking a leaf out of her book and following her example.
"Mahira is someone that everyone should get lessons from on how to behave on set," declared the Cheekh actor in a recent appearance on Showtime With Ramiz Raja. "She's such a superstar," he added fondly. "She has so much humility and treats everyone with such respect."
Emaad may be currently turning heads as Adeel in the drama Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, but as someone who has been working in the showbiz industry since 2013, he is well-versed in knowing which actors are easy to work with. Without pointing any fingers, Emaad hinted that not everyone appreciated the unsung work done by the crew members.
"As actors, you're very lucky that you get so much importance, but the people behind the camera are working harder than you," he pointed out.
Urging everyone, and especially those in the showbiz industry, to show their appreciation for everyone working behind the scenes, Emaad added, "So just be kind to everyone. Just be nice to everyone." As Emaad went on the explain, the contribution of the so-called invisible workers on set is immeasurable. "They are the ones in charge," he reminded the audience. As a message to his fellow actors, he added, "The results are not in your hand - they are in the hands of people creating the illusion you are trying to create as an actor. But you have respect, and how you treat people says a lot about you."
