The entertainment industry is mourning the sudden passing of actor Vikas Sethi, who died at 48, Hindustan Times reported. Best known for his roles in popular 2000s TV serials like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahiin To Hoga, Vikas suffered a cardiac arrest in his sleep on Sunday. His body has been transported to Mumbai's Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination. He is survived by his wife, Jhanvi Sethi, and their twin sons.

Vikas became a familiar face in Indian households with his role as Abir in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. His success continued with notable performances in other hit shows, including Kasautii Zindagi Kay, Uttaran, and Sasural Simar Ka. Additionally, he showcased his dance skills on the reality show Nach Baliye Season 3, where he participated with his then-wife, Amita.

In addition to his television success, Vikas also made his mark in Bollywood. He was known for playing Robbie in Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, appearing as Kareena Kapoor's friend, and for his role as Rocky in Deewaanapan, opposite Arjun Rampal and Dia Mirza.

In recent years, Vikas had been living a quieter life, focusing on personal recovery and family. In 2021, he underwent leg surgery and kept his fans updated through social media, often sharing motivational content and glimpses into his personal life. He joyfully announced the birth of his twin sons in June 2021 with a heartfelt post: "Jhanvi and I went from being best friends to getting married, and now we are parents. Some feelings can't be put into words, only felt by the heart."

Despite his positive social media presence, Vikas faced personal challenges, including financial struggles and periods of depression. He ventured into film production and launched his own production house, CK Pictures, in hopes of reviving his career.
