No rain expected in Karachi for next 10 days, temperatures to rise

From Thursday onwards, more sunshine could cause a 1-2°C rise in temperature, says PMD

KARACHI:

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast no rain for Karachi over the next 10 days, with temperatures expected to rise by 1-2°C due to increased sunshine starting Thursday.

On Tuesday, the city's weather was partly cloudy and humid, with a maximum temperature of 33.5°C and humidity at 69%.

For Wednesday, partly cloudy and humid conditions are expected, with temperatures ranging between 31°C and 33°C.

The department said, “From Thursday onwards, more sunshine could cause a 1-2°C rise in temperature.”

The meteorological department also reported that south-westerly winds from the sea would continue to blow in the coming days, with low pressure over the Bay of Bengal unlikely to affect Karachi.

However, it could trigger rains in other parts of the country from September 12.
