Lupita Nyong’o stuns in sheer Gucci gown at TIFF Tribute Awards

Lupita Nyong’o captivated attendees at the TIFF Tribute Awards on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at the Fairmont Royal York during the Toronto International Film Festival. The actor made a dramatic entrance on the red carpet in a black sequined Gucci gown. The sleeveless dress featured a sheer black base adorned with vertical sequined straps and a flowing skirt. Nyong’o paired the gown with a caramel brown Bamboo 1947 top-handle bag from Gucci, complemented by white and yellow diamond earrings and a matching ring. Earlier in the day, Nyong’o attended the premiere of her film The Wild Robot. For this event, she chose a light green gown with a ruched cutout bodice and a breezy skirt. Similar to her evening look, Nyong’o accessorized with white diamond jewelry.

The Wild Robot, directed by Chris Sanders, is based on Peter Brown’s 2016 novel. It follows the story of Roz, an intelligent robot who becomes stranded on a remote island and forms bonds with local animals while caring for an orphaned baby goose.
