Teen Mom alum Catelynn Lowell opens up about losing contact with daughter Carly

Catelynn Lowell reveals she’s been blocked from contacting her daughter Carly’s adoptive parents, calling it unfair.

Catelynn Lowell, a former star of Teen Mom, has shared that she is no longer able to communicate with the adoptive parents of her biological daughter Carly. In a recent Instagram post, Lowell revealed that she has been "blocked" from sending updates and pictures of Carly’s younger siblings, expressing concern for her daughter and family.

Lowell, who gave Carly up for adoption in 2009 during her appearance on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant, wrote: "Adoption is crazy. I’m blocked all because of me sending updates and pictures of her sisters… how is that fair for Carly and her siblings?"

The 32-year-old and her husband, Tyler Baltierra, have three other daughters—Novalee, 9, Vaeda, 5, and Rya, 2—and Lowell says the situation is difficult, particularly for Carly and her sisters.

"When you're a bio mum, you have no say... no control," Lowell added. "All I can do is show Carly in the future how much I tried and continue to do so... she can make the decision herself to understand who shut who out."

While Lowell admitted she feels sadness over the situation, she was clear that her intention was not to criticize Carly’s adoptive parents, but to express her own emotions regarding the distance imposed between her biological family and Carly.

"I will ALWAYS support Carly loving her parents. They love her and raised her! But the fact that they keep us distant does not help Carly," she explained. "Anyone would know that if they were adopted."

Despite the current situation, Lowell has expressed gratitude for Carly’s adoptive parents, acknowledging the love and care they’ve provided for her daughter.
