Kimberlee Singler, a 36-year-old Colorado mom, has been arrested in a London hotel for allegedly killing her 7-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter, and attempting to kill her 11-year-old daughter. The shocking crime occurred on December 19, 2023, in their Colorado apartment.

According to police, Singler stabbed and shot her two younger children to death, and seriously injured her 11-year-old daughter. The 11-year-old, identified as M.W., was hospitalized for her injuries and later told authorities that her mother had instructed her to drink milk laced with powder, telling her to close her eyes as she led her to a bedroom.

Singler fled to the United Kingdom, where she was arrested on December 30. She is currently fighting extradition to Colorado, where she faces a potential life sentence without parole.

In a bizarre twist, Singler's defense lawyer, Edward Fitzgerald, argued in court that she did not harm her children and believed police coerced the claim from her daughter. Fitzgerald also claimed that Singler was trying to avoid a life sentence without parole in Colorado, which he said would violate European human rights law.

However, prosecutor Joel Smith countered that police had found evidence of the crime scene, including the blood on the weapons allegedly matching Singler and her children. Smith also revealed that Singler's ex-husband, Kevin Wentz, had an alibi for the time of the crime, and that the 11-year-old daughter had initially told police that a man broke into their home, but later confessed to the crime.

The extradition hearing was adjourned until December 2, with Singler's fate hanging in the balance.
