Man arrested for killing wife

A woman was found dead with torture marks on the face and neck, in a house in Sherpao Colony, Landhi area. The police reached the spot and shifted the body to Jinnah Hospital for post-mortem and detained the woman's husband for questioning.

The deceased, identified as 26-year-old Fatima, wife of Nauman, was the mother of two children and hailed from Swabi.

SHO Quaidabad, Ghulam Hussain Pirzada said that the incident was reported to the police by the neighbours. When the police reached the spot, the woman's body was put in a Suzuki and her husband Nauman said that he was taking it to the hospital. Pirzada said that torture indicate that a noose was placed around the neck of the woman as a result she died.
