Patti Scialfa, Bruce Springsteen's wife, reveals battle with Multiple Myeloma

Patti Scialfa, the celebrated musician and wife of rock legend Bruce Springsteen, has publicly revealed her ongoing battle with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer.

 The diagnosis, received in 2018, was disclosed in the new documentary "Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band," which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.   

The 71-year-old E Street Band member shared how the illness has affected her immune system, making touring challenging. Despite this, she remains positive, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to occasionally join her husband on stage.   

Scialfa's revelation highlights the resilience of both artists, as Springsteen himself recently postponed his tour due to health issues. The documentary, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at their recent world tour, also serves as a testament to their enduring bond and passion for music.

While Scialfa's health journey presents obstacles, she continues to inspire with her strength and determination. As she navigates this "new normal," her story serves as a reminder of the importance of cherishing every moment and finding joy in life's challenges.
